Not Muslim and unsure how I got recommended your Substack, but as a graduate student in religious studies, I appreciate your perspective on the education system- the "lack of virtue based education" in K-12, combined with techno-cracy run rampant. has had horrific consequences. A religious studies education (and a Catholic education before college) has foregrounded ethical formation and reflection in my life for decades. I can't stand to open Linkedin these days because I see former classmates celebrating new jobs and big promotions... in service of what greater end goal? The current educational system trains students to doggedly pursue material success and prestige at all costs- no one stops to think "But is this actually good for the world?" Thanks again for sharing.
